The tour operator “Liqui Moly Extreme” is expanding its adventure offer in Mongolia with a new winter tour: “Ice tracks to the taiga”.
The twelve-day off-road tour takes self-drivers in off-road four-wheel drive vehicles through snowy Mongolia and offers impressive experiences in the midst of the harsh nature.
That's what it's about
The trip starts and ends in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, and includes an adventure program across frozen lakes and icy valleys.
Highlights include Khustai National Park with its famous Przewalski horses, hot springs, the Tsaatan nomads in the Darkhd Valley and the Ice Festival at Khövsgöl Nuur, the second largest freshwater reservoir in Asia.

Here, on meter-thick ice, travelers experience the tradition and culture of the Mongolian people up close.
Background
The winter trip is offered as a guided self-drive trip and includes not only the vehicle but also overnight stays in comfortable accommodations, from luxury hotels to traditional yurts, as well as accompaniment by experienced guides and a cook.
Early bookers can book the tour from 3.000 euros per person. The trip is offered on four fixed dates: from December 15 to 29, 2024, from February 9 to 20, 2025, from February 23 to March 6, 2025 and from March 8 to 19, 2025.

“Liqui Moly Extreme” offers tours through the breathtaking landscape of Mongolia all year round.
Whether it's the Gobi Desert, the majestic Altai Mountains or dense forests - the diversity of the landscape makes each of these road trips unique...
