Become Hockenheim ring Anyone familiar with the circuit knows the weight of its name in the motorsport world. The track in Baden-Württemberg has been a fixture on the international racing calendar for decades and was the longtime venue for the Formula 1 German Grand Prix.
On this asphalt, icons like Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Juan Manuel Fangio made history – there were victories, dramas and unforgettable moments that have inscribed the Hockenheimring into the DNA of motorsport.
The Hotel Motodrom, located directly on the start/finish straight, is itself part of this story. Since its opening, racing legends have come and gone, and the hotel has become a regular meeting place for the international motorsport community.
Those who stayed or dined at this hotel did so right next to the track – tangible motorsport history instead of museum-like distance.

From traditional establishment to modern experiential restaurant
More than half a century after its opening, the traditional establishment is reinventing itself. The future Motorworld Inn will bring an innovative dining concept to the Ringstrasse: Guests can expect around 200 seats in a striking, automotive-themed atmosphere.
Industrial style, authentic materials and exceptional design elements – including tables with a lifting platform look – create a distinctive atmosphere that consistently extends the character of the Motorworld Group.
A planned outdoor area with a direct view of the race track is intended to further enhance the experience and is likely to become one of the most sought-after dining spots in the region.
À la carte menu for fans, tourists and business guests
Unlike many other businesses around the Hockenheimring, the Motorworld Inn is planned to be open 365 days a year – regardless of events taking place on the track.
The menu includes steaks, burgers, and pasta, as well as regional specialties. This makes the restaurant appealing not only to die-hard motorsport fans, but also to business travelers, tourists, and visitors from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
In addition, modern, flexibly usable rooms are being created for conferences, seminars and exclusive events – a clear signal that the location is also being positioned as a business destination.

Outlook: Motorworld Inn Hotel by 2027
The new culinary offerings are just the first step in a broader transformation. By 2027, the entire building is to be further developed into the Motorworld Inn Hotel.
At the same time, planning for Motorworld Hockenheimring at the south grandstand is in full swing. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with the opening before 2030.
This major project should finally transform the Hockenheimring into a year-round destination for motorsport, lifestyle and experiential culture – far beyond the classic racing weekends…
