Airbnb is world-famous and has managed to change the way we travel for a few days. Since the success of the American community marketplace, hotels are no longer the only choice, as every traveler can book a property online anywhere in the world. And thus experience their own travel destination completely differently on vacation or on a business trip.
However, Airbnb is only intended for quick and short-term trips. The Austrian platform “reposée” goes one step further. The Viennese start-up enables reposee.com booking holiday apartments and weekend homes that are easy to reach and can then be used regularly over a long period of time.
These include private and commercial holiday apartments, alpine huts and weekend houses. Ideal for stressed-out city dwellers who are looking for relaxation, variety and quality time in the local area. This professionally specialized, seasonal rental is finding more and more interested parties.
This is extremely exciting for users and landlords and a real win-win situation. Instead of committing to a property for years, two parties share the property for one to twelve months. The user thus gets a place to go for their leisure time, the landlord does not have to worry about the property being vacant - and generates rental income.
This makes “reposée” the current hub with added value for many unused second homes. The following options are available in detail:
- Rent: For landlords who do not need their leisure property temporarily, but do not want to leave it unused.
- To exchange: Owners of second homes exchange their properties for a few months via "reposée". This allows for more variety in their living arrangements.
- Split: Tenants alternate with the owner on a monthly or weekly basis. Landlords earn money, tenants remain flexible.
Registration and searching and finding for the above-mentioned areas is free. Packages are available for contacting and booking, starting at ten euros per month. Incidentally, to avoid disputes, "reposée" has integrated clever insurance against rental property damage into the service.
The Austrians launched this concept in the summer of 2018 with a first beta version. Now, in January 2019, numerous offers and inquiries from landlords and temporary property seekers meet on the pleasantly designed platform.
And who knows: Maybe “reposée” will soon be mentioned in the same breath as Airbnb when it comes to online marketplaces for real estate…
